As someone who just experienced Post-SIWES, I can’t say how pained I am by this. It feels like just yesterday I started my internship. Happy times…
But unlike the Nova kids, the rest of us still have a few more semesters before we can call it a wrap. I guess if we have to face our fate, we can face it together (Yes, me and you reading this 🥹)
September has no doubt been a very eventful month, from Uber leaving to Dangote Refinery’s IPO going live. And in the midst of all the memes and banter on X, there’s you and me, wondering how to properly execute that very much desired academic comeback.

There’s a sadder thing that simmers beneath all the drama, though. September is Suicide Prevention Month, and if you’re like me, your mind went to all of our colleagues who made that choice. It became a prayer point for me with the last graduating class, and I’m happy there wasn’t any news of that kind.
But it’s still heartbreaking, especially for the loved ones of those people. It should make you think of something important. How to identify depression early. When to reach out. How to help the people around you. Because, sadly, it could really be anyone.
We’re going to look at this and more things in this month’s edition. So sit back, relaxxxxx, and enjoy the ride.
Happy reading!
